Around the World...in 8 Minutes! (The Pac-man series Book 14)
Original Text by Sponge Edited by Roo Typed Out by Mushy
It was the day of the 3rd grade school play! The Happy Nuts were all dressed up and ready for their performance.
Pacy and Peter were the narrators, with super-cool microphones; Sponge was a Japanese child, a cherry blossom perched daintily on her head; Mushy was a kiwi bird from New Zealand, wearing a quirky beak made of brown cardboard; Dome was a Native American, with a feathery headband; Pudding was a Russian, with a furry black hat; as for Pencil and Can, they were the audience and the judges while the others were practicing.
The narrators were also part of the play. They 'went' to Russia, where they met Pudding, Japan, where they met Sponge, New Zealand, where they met Mushy...
That was when Peter forgot his lines! "Umm..." he stuttered. Pacy glanced worriedly at her brother, trying not to make him feel even more nervous. Mushy stiffened; what would happen?
Peter just randomly made some stuff up. "Err...Mr. Kiwi Bird, do you like living here?" It actually sounded kind of accurate, didn't it? It made sense too.
Pacy gave Peter some good news after the play. (Which, I must point out, was a total success! -- Roo) "Peter! You got the correct words!" Pacy said gratefully.
And he did! What a brilliant ending!
The Wishing Tree (The Pac-man series Book 17)
Original Text by Sponge Edited by Roo Typed Out by Mushy
The Happy Nuts went to the park, and found an enormous oak tree smack in the middle! "OMG!" Can marveled.
Dome was the bookworm of the group. She knew all about oaks! "Did you know that acorns grow on oak trees?" she asked, pleased that no one knew.
They were so busy admiring the tree, they didn't notice someone spying on them from the other side! It was Purp, of course!
The purple pac-man loved teasing the Happy Nuts. In fact, it was her favorite hobby! For example, if Dome was saying another fascinating fact, Purp would step up and say, "Hey, smarty-pants!" (That was what happened! Purp really did step out from behind the oak tree and say, "Hey, smarty-pants!")
This time, the Nuts decided to play a trick on he instead! First, Pacy told Purp that the oak was a wishing tree that would listen to and obey her every command. Purp didn't believe her.
Then Pudding and Mushy, the most athletic, climbed up the tree. While Pacy made her wish, which was "I wish acorns will fall down!", Mushy and Pudding got ready...
And down came the acorns, right on top of Purp! "GAAH!" she screamed. Pacy snorted with laughter. So did the other Happy Nuts!
In the end, Purp walked in shame way from the oak...with the top part of an acorn on her head like a hat!
Meowtastic New Members (The Pac-man series Book 21)
Original Text by Sponge Edited by Roo Typed Out by Mushy
One day, the hair-curlers were over at the pac-men's house having a frog jumping contest when they heard something outside. "Meow! Meow!" Cats!
Sponge bravely opened the door, and there sat three cats! One silver tabby, one ginger Cornish-Rex, and one fluffy gray B-Short (stands for British Shorthair).
The friends named them right away: the tabby as Snowflake, the Cornish-Rex as Ginger and the B-Short as King.
Pudding examined them thoroughly. "Ginger and Snowflake are girls, and King is a boy!" she declared. "Do you think two of them will marry?" Peter asked. Pudding rolled her eyes.
Meanwhile, Pacy was working on something: a translator-headband! She told Peter to try it on, and he could understand the cats! What King meowed sounded like a normal purr to the others, but to Peter, it was "Hi, pac-man!"
Pacy made enough for all the Happy Nuts, who started using them right away! "Hi, Cake!" Ginger greeted Dome. "Hey there, Ginger!" Dome said in reply.
So the cats lived with the Happy Nuts since then. Occasionally, they even used Peter's enlarge-gun to make the cats big enough for riding!
Best of all, Snowflake, Ginger and King got along with Sausage the dachshund too!
Time Traveling with the Happy Nuts: Part 1 (The Pac-man series Special Book 3)
Original Text by Sponge Edited by Roo Typed Out by Mushy
Sponge, Mushy, Pacy and Peter found a round ball with a door in the pac-men's yard.
They opened the door and went inside. There was a keyboard with many multi-colored buttons.
"Pink!" Sponge exclaimed. She pressed on the bright pink button which read '-65'. Sponge didn't notice the words. Neither did anyone else.
The ball was really a time machine, and '-65' meant 65 million years in the past! It disappeared in a flash of pink light.
When the shaking finally stopped, the Happy Nuts found themselves in a strange, prehistoric world. They stepped out of the time machine and began to explore. But they were seen by a baby diplodocus.
Sponge was good at talking to all animals, including dinosaurs!
Suddenly...a gigantic meteor fell down from the sky! That must be time for the extinction of the dinosaurs!
The pac-men worked fast! They zapped the meteor just before it reached the ground and...

Time Traveling with the Happy Nuts: Part 2 (The Pac-man series Special Book 3)
Original Text by Sponge Edited by Roo Typed Out by Mushy
In our last book, the HN, or the Happy Nuts, went time-traveling to the Mesozoic era. They zapped the 'extinction meteor', but what is it now?
Well, the meteor turned into a peanut, and it fell harmlessly to the ground.
But Mushy realized something. "If we destroyed the meteor, the dinosaurs will still be in the present!" he told the others.
The gang jumped into the time machine, and pressed a bright green...
+65 button! The ball disappeared in a flash of green light.
When they exited the ball, there were dinosaurs everywhere! They gasped and ran home, but home was gone!
So the gang dug an underground hideout, and hid.
An unexpected cry was heard!
Purp and some of the Gossip Girls arrived to join. And since the Happy Nuts weren't mean, they reluctantly let the GG into their underground hideout.

Next up, the Dessert Detectives!
Dome's Secret Admirer (The Dessert Detectives Book 7)
Original Text by Dome Edited by Skyla Typed Out by Skyla
First-Person Perspective: Dome
It was Valentine's Day. I was unpacking my bag when I found a note on my desk! Here's what it said:
'To Dome: It is Valentine's Day, and I left this note for you. Just stopping by to say: My identity is for me to know and for you to find out! Anon'
That was weird. No name? I'd have asked Pencil, who's great at identifying handwriting, but the note was typed!
A lightbulb appeared in my brain. "Bingo!" I said aloud, snapping my fingers. I knew just who to find! My BFFs, the Dessert Detectives!
"Hi!" I greeted them. When Pudding saw the note, she said, "Ooh, what's that?" "A note?" Sponge guessed. I handed it for them to see. Well, sort of. Pudding was holding it too close to herself! "Pudding! I can't see the words!" Pacy complained.
After Pudding finally finished reading, she said, "Maybe...it's your secret admirer?" "What! No way!" I retorted. I didn't know if that was good news or bad news! I almost never talked about love!
So I guessed I did have a secret admirer, but who? I started brainstorming and dropping notes. Can likes Sponge; Pencil likes Pacy; Peter likes Pudding, so who's left? I thought.
The only one left is Mushy. Was it him? I wasn't sure, but it wouldn't hurt to ask! "Let's ask Mushy!" I suggested. "Okay!" Pacy agreed. "I'm coming with you!" Sponge called. "Me too!" Pudding raced to my side.
Mushy's classroom was just around the corner, and we arrived in no time!
But just after the words 'Can we find Mushy?' left our mouths, a lichen blurted, "Why, you love him?" The crowd behind her howled in laughter. We were really shocked.
Just then, Mushy stepped out from behind the lichen and fumed, "Back off, Lichee! She doesn't like me, that's for sure, but I like her!"
Mushy dragged me and the others outside into the hallway to get rid of Lichee. "Sorry 'bout that!" Mushy apologized. "Lichee said that she might join the GG!"
We all started chattering at once. "Oh, ho!" I cried. "That's bad news," Sponge commented, shaking her head. "Now I hate her!" Pudding sighed. "But I guess it's natural for her to join the Gossip Girls; she's the gossip-girl style!" Pacy pointed out jokingly. We all laughed.
Mushy was blushing. He took out a card and said shyly, "And Dome, happy Valentine's Day!" "Oh, thanks!" I told him, happily. Who knows, maybe this kind of love may not be such a bad thing after all!
The New Gossip Girl (The Dessert Detectives Book 8)
Original Text by Dome Edited by Skyla Typed Out by Skyla
First-Person Perspective: Dome
It was the end of summer break, and since I haven't written a book in ages, I decided to write one in my backyard.
I was just getting started when Sponge, my BFF and another Dessert Detective, walked by. "Hi!" she called. "New book?"
"Yeah, but it's still blank," I told her.
Sponge asked to help, so I let her. My library was closed for the summer, and her's was too. So instead of writing books, we made 'closed' signs to hang up, with short and sweet poems like this one:
'It is summer, so go and play.
Come back again another day!'
We finally finished, then...Lichee the lichen stopped by. "Hi, bookworms!" she sneered.
I didn't know where she lived, and how she arrived, but then it hit me. "You moved to the empty house next to mine, right?" I asked her.
"Lucky guess for a dumbhead!" was her reply.
Oh no, I thought, Why did Lichee's parents choose the house right next to mine of all houses?! "Come on, let's go inside," I told Sponge, dragging her by the arm. She didn't hesitate to follow, grabbing all the signs. But for the finishing touch, I hung one sign on the door handle before going in.
"Humph, what brats!" we heard Lichee mutter. Then she stomped away with 'dainty little footsteps'. "Phew, that was close!" Sponge sighed.
I told my mom that Sponge was over, then we went to my bedroom window upstairs. I couldn't believe what I saw! Lichee and the Gossip Girls were in Lichee's huge yard!
So that explained why Lichee always dresses fashionably! "Lichee's family is very rich!" I exclaimed. "Oh!" Sponge gasped, looking out the window. "I think Lichee did join the GG."
Then I remembered that Pudding, my other BFF, is living on the other side of Lichee's gigantic house. I called her right away.
"What?!" she cried after I told her the sticky situation. "Yes, it's true!" I confirmed. "Look outside if you don't believe me!"
After we hung up, I ran downstairs to find my mother. "Can my friends stay for the night?" I asked, giving my best sad-kitty eyes. "Only if their parents agree and y'all promise to really sleep," she said firmly.
Sponge and Pudding's parents let them stay over! That night, before bed, we tiptoed to the window and peeped outside. There Lichee and Slice lay on the grass in sleeping bags...snoring!
We could barely stop laughing at the sight! Then I realized something: no matter how rich you are, money can't buy true friends!
Now for the Elements, originally comics! I tell you, reader, that turning a comic into a typed-out story isn't as easy as it seems!
The 6 Elements (Elements Bk 1)
Original text: Dome
Typed out: Skyla
Edited: Roo
In a place far from Earth lived five friends, Sponge, Dome, Pudding, Mushy and Roo. They were popular at school (but not in the snobby way), and had many fans. One of them was Gumball the potionist.
One day, Gumball dialed Mushy. "I need your help in the lab!" he told him. "Okay," Mushy agreed. "We're coming!"
It turned out that Gumball wanted them on an adventure! He gave them each a Element potion! "Try it!" he persuaded Sponge. "You'll get new powers!" Sponge looked at it and scratched her head. Wind potion? she thought. Oh well, might as well try it out! So she drank up the silvery wind potion, thinking, so this is what wind tastes like!
Meanwhile, Pudding slurped up the red fire potion. "This is spicier than kimchi!" she exclaimed. Dome drank the ice-blue water potion. "Hey, why's it so cold?" she asked Gumball. He winked. "That's because it's the ice potion too!" Roo slurped down the brown-gray earth potion. "I feel stronger!" she observed. "Yay! It worked!" Gumball cheered.
As for Mushy, he got the helicopter/propeller potion. "But it's not an Element!" he pointed out. Gumball shrugged. "I ran out of Element potions. Besides, how cool would it be to fly?" Mushy had to admit it was kind of cool.
"Why aren't you drinking a potion?" Dome asked Gumball. "I'm a lime gum ball, so I was born with acid powers!" he replied.
That was when the crew realized that their body colors were changing! "Oh no! I'm blue!" Dome cried. "I don't want to look all sad." "What did you do?!" Pudding demanded. "I'm orange!" Gumball wasn't as shocked; he knew this would happen. "Now you match the color of your Element! I don't have the skills to keep your colors even after you swallowed the potion, but I'm working on it."
Gumball told them to try out their new power-ups in the testing rooms. "Oh, wow! A mini whirlwind!" Sponge exclaimed as a small tornado shot out from the palm of her hand. Then she asked herself, I wonder what'll happen if I try to make a bigger one? She moved her palm in circles, watching the whirlwind get so big it flung her to the other side of the room.
In another testing room, Pudding put out her hand and caused a tiny fire, firewood and all. "Hiya!" she cried. Dome immediately got into action. She closed her palm into a fist, then opened it up again, stretching the tips of her fingers. A stream of water shot out, putting out the flames. "Wow! Amazing!"
In the second-to-last room down the hallway, Mushy and Gumball were practicing flying. "Holy fungus! I'm flying! AWESOME!" "This propeller is programed to only work on you, Mush!"
In the last room, Roo formed a rock in the center of the floor. "Cool!" Then she lifted it up. "Great! I can hold up massive weights!"
Gumball gave the girls each a new bow, which can control how they use their powers by listening to their thoughts. "Thanks, Gumball!" Sponge thanked, putting on her silver bow. "It's so high-tech!" Dome commented, fastening on her marbled blue bow. Gumball flushed red with pride.
Pudding couldn't keep her curiosity any longer. "Okay, I know this is cool and all," she said, fixing her fiery orange bow. "But really, why are we getting these powers?" "I'm glad you asked!" Gumball told her, not giving the answer right away. "We'er going to venture in the Great Candy Forest!"
The crew widened their eyes. "WHAT?!"
"Why not?" Gumball protested. "I've always wanted to go there to test my potions and fight bad guys with my idols. It's also a survival practice!"
Is it just me, Sponge thought, or is Gumball sounding like a survival teacher?!
So of they went! Gumball flew up into the sky, grasping Pudding along with him; Mushy took some of the luggage, flying as well; Roo carried mostly the rest of the luggage; Sponge shot out a whirlwind, held Dome's hand, and skimmed through the journey with great speed.
But they still didn't meet ANYthing after a long time. "This is boring," Gumball said at last. "I have to agree," Mushy and Pudding chorused. "Jinx!"
Suddenly... "Hey, what's that in there?" Roo wondered aloud, pointing at a rustling candy-floss bush.
An exhausted cake-roll rushed out! "Finally! Living food! I'm just so tired. I've been looking for my brother and sister after our house flooded over. Their names are Spiral and Puffy. Can you help?" she said, words rushing out like waves.
The crew could tell this cake-roll was very talkative. "Um...what's your name?" Dome asked. The cake-roll blushed. "Oh, I didn't tell you? Sorry. I was too worried about my siblings to tell you. They could be anywhere in the GCF! I --"
"Just tell us!" Pudding said impulsively. Gumball gave her the hairy-eyeball.
"I was just going to say!" the cake-roll snapped, glaring at Pudding. "I'm Skyla. Who're you lot?"
"Hi! I'm Sponge," Sponge greeted politely. "These are my friends Dome, Pudding, Roo, Mushy and Gumball."
"Sooo...are you coming to find Spiral and Puffy, Sponge?" Skyla asked. "Sure!" Dome assured. "We're friends, right?" Sponge added.
So off they went again, with Sponge using her powers on Skyla and Dome. "Everything is awesome...everything is cool when you're part of a team!' they sang.
They all stopped, just in time, in front of the Jelly Hills! "Holy fungus, this thing is huge!" Mushy exclaimed worriedly.
Skyla hatched a plan, since she knew about the others' powers. "Dome! You can freeze one of the hills!" Dome was surprised. "Me?! What's wring with climbing?" "The Jelly Hills are sticky," Skyla began to explain. "So our feet will sink in if we climb. If you freeze it, it'll harden!" "I'll try then," Dome said nervously.
She told herself over and over again, Freeze the Hills! as ice slowly formed. After two minutes or so, one Hill was completely covered in ice. "YAY!" she cheered, high-fiving Skyla.
So Mushy helicoptered up, and the others climbed the frozen Jelly Hill. Then they arrived the Jelly Bean Kingdom, GCF!
They had no clue who, or what, was waiting for them! "This seems a bit danger--" Skyla began. Roo's eyes widened: there was a big hole in front of Skyla! "LOOK OUT!" she cried. But Skyla had already set foot on top of the hole and plunged into the darkness. "HELP!" she screamed.
Mushy and Gumball flew off to get help. "Where are we going?" Mushy asked. "To the Gummy Kingdom, of course!" Gumball replied.
The others followed Skyla down the hole. None of them were too scared, though, since they have dropped down underground before in the 3rd Pac-man special Time Traveling with the Happy Nuts. They landed in some roller-carts, and saw Skyla sitting in the front one! Suddenly, the carts shot upwards, sending them hollering, "AHHH!"
They zoomed up...into the jelly bean lab! Leader Tutti was waiting for them. "Huh, another roll!" he muttered, eyeing Skyla. "Perfect for my collection!"
Skyla gasped as it dawned on her. So it was Tutti who captured Spiral and Puffy!
Meanwhile, Mushy and Gumball arrived the Gummy Kingdom, and met Gummy, Mushy's friend! "Mushy!" he called. "Hi!" "Hey, Gummy!" Mushy greeted. "This is Gumball, Gummy, a potionist. Gumball, this is Gummy, my friend I met during the SuperFungi adventure."
(SuperMushrooms is a series of comics made by Gummy's creator JS. It's a boy series)
Gumball gave Gummy the storm potion, with a rain cloud and lightning bolt. "Nice!" he marveled. Then off they went on the storm cloud. "Everything is awesome...everything is cool when you're part of a team! Everything is awesome...when you're living your dream!"

Battle with Tutti (Elements Bk 2)
Original text: Dome
Typed out: Skyla
Edited: Roo
In the last book, our male heroes went to the Gummy Kingdom and found Gummy, and our female ones all got caught by the mighty leader of the jelly beans: Tutti. In order to save their friends, Mushy, Gumball and Gummy must return to the Jelly Bean Kingdom, but...
"Gummy! Be careful!" a voice cried from behind Gummy's storm cloud. Gummy turned around. "Twitchy! Whiskers! What's wrong? Is everything okay?"
Twitchy the gummy mouse shook her head. "No! The cola flood warning signal is in force!" "Apparently, the rain got too heavy!" her brother Whiskers added, shuddering. Mushy and Gumball gave space for Twitchy and Whiskers on the storm cloud. "We'll have to carry more people later if there's a flood, but the cloud's too small!" Gummy realized. "Enlarge it!" Mushy suggested. "By thinking! Your lightning bolt will pass the signal to the cloud. Just hold it tight when you make your instructions," Gumball told him. Gummy hesitated. "I'll try..." Then he clasped his hands together around the lightning bolt and told it what to do.
It immediately doubled in size! Soon they were picking up every gummy creature in sight like taxi drivers! They were ready to bring the citizens of the Gummy Kingdom to safety.
Meanwhile, the jelly beans had tied the girls' arms to their backs and brought them to their cages in Jelly Bean Prison. "What do we do now?" Roo groaned. "No powers, surely," Sponge muttered grimly. Skyla was locked in the cage that held her brother and sister. "At least now we're together." Skyla tried to sound positive. "But we have no way out," Spiral sighed.
In this sticky situation, they couldn't use their powers. Or could they? "I have an idea!" Dome cried out. "What?" Pudding asked. "We can't use our powers!" Dome's reply was, "Says who?"
Dome's plan goes like this: Roo would make a sharp rock to cut through her own binds, so she could help the others once she was free. When all of the binds were untied, Sponge would use her wind powers to create a whirlwind strong enough to break through the wires of the cage. "We're free!" Sponge cheered as she saw the wires pop open under the pressure of the wind. "We need to get Skyla!" Pudding added. The four rushed to the other side of the prison to see that Spiral had already broke through the binds. They ran out as soon as Roo used her strength to snap some of the wires.
The group pelted out of the prison, to find someone waiting...
"Mushy!" Sponge, Dome, Pudding, Roo and Skyla cried. They laughed and hugged him. Mushy did the same, and shook hands with Spiral and Puffy. "Nice to meet you! You must be Skyla's siblings. You've got a good sister, although she can be very chatty!"
He held out a bottle filled with white liquid. "Skyla, Gumball told me to give this to you. It's a snow potion!" Skyla's face flushed with joy. "Thankyouthankyouthankyou! It means a lot to me!"
With that, Skyla slurped down the snow potion. "So chilly and sweet!" she commented. Then Mushy gave her a new bow, which was very pale ice-blue. "You look good!" Roo praised. "It's all the work of Gumball!" Skyla said modestly.
And a new Element was born! A snow cloud appeared right after Skyla fastened the bow tightly. She hopped on as the others cheered, "YAY! New Element!"
But suddenly, Tutti popped out of nowhere! "GUARDS! Get 'em!" he hollered. He was riding a pink cloud that was raining jelly beans at the moment. His guards stood underneath him, unbothered by the falling sweets. "We're ready!" Skyla shot back. Two snowballs appeared in her hands.
Mushy propped two blades at his sides, Roo formed a large rock next to her, Pudding rubbed her hands to make them warmer, Dome used her own water to wash her hands, and Sponge thought, "Small whirlwind" as a miniature tornado formed in her palms.
The two armies charged! Now let's see how the Elements used their powers!
Sponge told herself, "Strong wind!" as a enormous gust of wind shot out at the jelly-guard she was facing. The guard drove his sword to the ground and held on for dear life; his feet were already swept off the floor. "HELP!" he screeched. Sponge's wind was too powerful for him: his hands slipped off the handle of his sword in the ground and the guard was sent flying. "AHHH! #@%$&*^!" Sponge thought, "Stop wind!" and the tornado slowly disappeared.
It was Dome's turn to take action! Ice club? Check, she said mentally, grasping the golf-club she just made. It was burning cold, as it was made from 100% pure ice, but it didn't hurt at all for Dome.
A jelly bean approached. He sneered, "Golfing freak!" Dome glared at him, created an ice-ball, and used the traditional golf launch to whack him away! "Take away!" she called.
Meanwhile, Roo was also taking action Eye on the target! she thought, narrowing her eyes at two jelly beans at the bottom of a small hill she made herself. She was grasping a huge rock she created herself (of course). Then she bowled the rock downhill, crashing into the jelly beans. "GAHHH!" they screamed. One of them dropped the spear she was holding.
Spiral was running past when he tripped over the fallen spear. Thanks a lot! he thought angrily. Then he realized that he could use the spear to defend himself! He aimed the spear at an unsuspecting jelly bean. Then he threw it at the soldier, thinking, Hey, this thing works like a paper airplane!
Mushy flew up to a large beech tree, narrowly escaping the flying spears of three jelly beans. He made another helicopter blade and turned it on. The blade whizzed around, cutting the trunk into half. Mushy dodged the falling tree, but the jelly beans weren't so lucky...they were standing just below the collapsing trunk, and got smashed and killed!
Skyla was up in the sky on her snow-cloud, facing Tutti Frutti. "You're no match for me, Tutti!" she fumed, hands on her hips. "Prove it, roll!" Tutti shot back. Skyla couldn't control her temper much longer. She blasted out a stream of snowflakes, showering Tutti thoroughly! "Let it snow!" she cried. "No...!" Tutti yowled.
Lastly, Pudding saw Tutti land from the sky. "Hey, need some warmth?" she asked. Tutti sneezed and said, "YES!" Pudding shot out some fire, trying to burn the leader of the jelly bean troop to ashes, but missed! In the end, Tutti didn't die, but got a very sore backside!
